Am I the only muso who finds that no one knows what a Melodica is ? I’ve started learning to play it a bit later in life , and I’m using it in a couple of songs in my 4 piece. Not only do I get some strange looks , but if I tell anyone I’m learning to play this instrument , I have to explain what it is.They usually get it when I mention the early Hohner button Melodicas from the school days. I guess we are simply not exposed to it via popular music either radio or TV.
