A friend travels to China a every couple months due work. I asked him to get me a Kouxian Jaw harp, but he is such a nice fellow and knows so well my love for free reed instruments that he got me a Hulusi.

Now I have to wait for another month till he gets back to Mexico, should had asked him for something bigger like a sheng I guess…

Its a nice sounding instrument! Have you worked out any tunes on it yet?

Not yet, he will come back to México next december 27th… so I have to wait for another couple weeks.

I have a couple of hulusis and I really dig their sound. Alrigt! I highly recommend Pat Missin’s book on beginner hulusi and bawu. Amazon carries it, but I think Missin sells it from his web site as well. Happy Squawking!
