Thanks for posting this Alan. It’s really generous of Bruce to share this with us, hopefully this will be explored by a maker. It seems that it’s suited to the Clavietta for 2 reasons, the reed tongues are steel, and therefore magnetic, and they’re easily accessible for manipulation.Not to mention the satisfcation every time you hear that lovely tone.
I think some of the very cheapest Chinese melodicas also have steel reeds, so there may be some opportunities for experimentation there too.
If you’re reading this Bruce (@Bellows), I’d love to hear how you’ve used this on the accordion too.
