I had the opportunity to buy a Borel Clavietta recently.
I was and still am very reluctant to buy the instrument wit y the Corona virus going on.
The seller cleaned the used mouthpiece as best he could
Unfortunately new clavietta plastic mouthpieces are not available
In addition the seller is a non musician and answered my very specific questions as best he could
but I am somewhat hesitant to purchase.
it is highly unlikely that the virus could survive for multiple days outside or inside a cardboard box, for example, that contains something an infected person had sneezed on or handled. if you do not feel safe, leave your package out side your home for a week or so. Still practice commen sence and wash it thoroughly open it up and clean it gently with alcohol and let it dry completely. You can put the mouth piece in a cup with alcohol for 30 min. wash and rinse and you are go to go.
Hope this helps
You’ll need at least a 70% alcohol solution.
Soap and water also works well.
