Hi !
I’ve got this melodica, now I try to play it without the hose tube, I’m a bit lost but there is an advantage in terms of sound and how long it can be played.
With the hose tube, this one tends to get full of water and kill the sound.
That was very pleasant and clear – a nice sound.
Interesting: I thought there would be less water going into the instrument when using the tube.
There is a lot of water in the tube, without it, the water comes into the instrument but the sound becomes warmer.
General tip: Anyone who plays with a tube should remove the tube and clear it of water before blowing into the instrument to remove the condensation in the instrument. Otherwise, the water in the tube gets blown into the instrument.
Lowboy
Well I can play hours without the tube, with it’s more complicated.
