    Hello everyone

My name’s jeremy and I’m new to the forum. I’ve recently bought a hohner soprano and an alto, both metal bodies and in near mint condition. The only problem is that the D next to middle C on the soprano is a C#. Even if this was an accident at the factory when the melodica was made i was confident that I could tune the reed up, but upon removing all of the screws from the back of the melodica I was unable to take off the back cover. It appears to be glued into place.

Does anyone have experience of servicing these early hohner models?

    Hi Jeremy!
I have the exact same problem on a Hohner Cassotto 26. Have you managed to solve it?

    best,

    Hello Allessandro

I’ve had no luck I’m afraid. I really don’t want to force it open so I may just have to buy another.

    Good luck yourself

    Jeremy
