Reply To: pianonymous

After examining several of pianonymous’s videos, it is apparent that her technique is distinguished by the positioning of her hands and fingers, which is elegant and adds to the aesthetics of the performance, but — more importantly, works very well. This makes me realize that, although my musical training is in classical piano, I haven’t been giving enough attention to that aspect of technique on the melodica. Probably partly because it doesn’t matter so much in playing with just the right hand. She also is making full use of the left hand rather than just occasionally using it for some chording.
