Yup, video and pic different. One in pic has left hand covering first half of C major scale, for two octaves, and the right hand covering the second half for two octaves. Full explanation of key layout here.

I don’t have any videos to show how scales work, but here’s an explanation of the key layout: https://ergordica.com/ergordica-key-layout-explained/Daren, thanks for that video, definitely some similarities! Particularly the way rocker keys let the sound waves directly out of the reed cavities rather than via a resonating chamber. Some would say this detracts from the sound, but it makes for a much more compact instrument.
No videos yet but there’s some audio files on the home page https://ergordica.com (note I’m an engineer, not a musician!!)March 5, 2020 at 7:57 pm #11201IndieventorParticipantHey Daren, I finally got around to working on my idea. It’s called an ergordica. I just posted about it in your general discussion forum, hope you don’t mind (it’s a bit off topic perhaps).

April 2, 2019 at 2:31 pm #10704IndieventorParticipantThanks for the info. That is a lot of reeds!
March 23, 2019 at 12:18 pm #10685IndieventorParticipantHi Daren,
Do you remember how much the set of reeds cost approximately? And did they require much more air to sound?
Thanks for the fast response, and this site!

Might I ask where you got those individual reeds from or if you know of any good sources? Thanks!
