I used the Hohner Piano 36 for some recordings and it was splendid.
The Professional 36 I think is better. I have now taken it to an accordion repairer for a nice general fix. I’ll start playing it next week.April 23, 2023 at 10:44 am #14826albalexParticipantFor the moment I bought a Hohner Professional 36 let’s see how it will go later …. in the meantime thank you very much.

February 10, 2014 at 12:38 am #1786albalexParticipantHi all
here is another craving …….
February 7, 2014 at 11:42 am #1779albalexParticipantHello Lowboy
have to agree with you ….February 7, 2014 at 11:30 am #1778albalexParticipantHello Lowboy
you’re absolutely right. In fact, I prefer to put the microphone on the left side of the keyboard and the eighth to give more strength to the low-pitched sounds and turns a darker sound ….
I also prefer a microphone for wind instruments, tweezers just because I put it at 1 cm from the keys + the compressor and the sound is more full.
I’ve tried it with a SM57 but the distance penalizes the fullness of the sound …..
forgive my english …..February 6, 2014 at 5:54 pm #1774albalexParticipantFor the sound I’m using a stereo compressor of DBX 266XS in order to have more presence in Live and trigger the gate to balance the microphone AKG for wind instrument…..
February 5, 2014 at 10:28 pm #1771albalexParticipantHello Alan
thanks to all of you who have made me passionate about this beautiful instrument …….
thank you very muchFebruary 5, 2014 at 1:29 pm #1769albalexParticipantHello Lowboy
is your advice to play to 2 feet from a wall is right but I meant how to change the sound already in the oral cavity even before it gets to vibrate the reeds of the melody.
1) blow hot air (breathe ….) ….. This allows you to vibrate the reeds in the right height / intonation. The cold air instead is synonymous with velocity and so it might come out a sound forced.
2) Create a “sounding board” in the mouth a bit as do the singers ….. we will have a darker sound and rich harmonics …….
3) Think of singing the melody you are playing in order to facilitate our musical sensibility.February 5, 2014 at 11:32 am #1768albalexParticipantHello
Grazie….grazie e grazie!!!February 5, 2014 at 1:39 am #1765albalexParticipanthello
this is my last job …… I hope will be appreciated.February 3, 2014 at 9:49 pm #1753albalexParticipantHello Kevin
thank you very much ……
in the second video I tilted the microphone in parallel to the lateral part of the melody. In fact, the sound is darker and full of harmonics ……
These days will adjust Oblivion with a sound that is more akin to that of a Bandoneòn and is the sound that I like ….
Pardon my English …..February 2, 2014 at 10:44 am #1743albalexParticipantHello Lowboy
you could send me the link of audio recordings because I’m curious about the sound you’re faceendo with the HM-36 ……
