This is the 1985-91 predecessor to the popular Yamaha Pianica P-25F. The “E” model plays just like the “F”. The styling is only very slightly different. I”m calling attention to it for three reasons: (1) It was made in Japan. The same may be true for some early F models, but I have yet to see one. (2) It has a more compact case. And (3) it has a more conservative color than the bright yellow of the P-25F. For these reasons, I now play the P-25E most often rather than the P-25F. A P-25E is not too hard to find at a reasonable price. In my opinion, there is no better (current or vintage) Asian 25-27 key melodica out there than the Yamaha Pianica P-25E-F. I play mine just about every day. It walks with me and it talks with me, and it tells me I am its owner.
