Hi everyone!
I’m currently working on a transcription of Rachmaninov’s Vocalise for Melodica Quartet and Quintet (AAAB/AAAAB). As it’s been transcribed for many various ensembles I thought that it might be work for melodica ensemble. I’ve tried out all the parts so far and they all seem playable, however there are a few corners in the bass melodica part that are currently a bit hit-or-miss when I try them out; I can sometimes play them, and other times I simply don’t have the air! Ideally I’d like the bass melodica part to have as much melodic interest as possible, but if it renders the part unplayable then I’ll gladly change it.
If anybody has the time to take a look at the transcription and even play the bass part in particular, I’d be very grateful. There are currently no dynamics as it’s a first draft. Thanks!
