Hello everybody!
I’m sharing a new composition for melodica and acoustic guitar called “To the Island”. It is a partnership between me and a guitarist friend. I am not a composer and I consider myself to be experiencing this type of thing (a few months ago I posted another composition called “Winter at the sea”). I think that one of the ways to make the melodica popular is by producing a repertoire specific to the instrument.
In this recording I used a Suzuki MD-36 melodica (a little out of tune =P) that has a peculiar feature: there is a kind of optional muffler inside it that makes the instrument’s tone softer/smooth. I have never seen this model before and I think it must be a special series. I bought it at Buyee. In the future, I intend to add photos and more information in Alan’s post on the Suzuki M36 melodicas.
