Hello, my new friends. I’m a jazz and classical pianist for more than 40 yeas but fortunately, recently I felt in love
With melodicas. Since “they” don’t invent a Midi melodica so that I can play
Sounds like clarinets, saxes, flutes, trumpets, synthesizers, the common melodica is a good woodwind instrument.
Since I already play hundreds of popular pieces, by ear and by reading, it’s really easy to adapt. Unfortunately, I discovered some things not do good: The melodica is uneven, with the same blow power, some notes play and some don’t. There’s a terrible E flat that it only plays after a noticeable delay, it’s terrible.its a lazy note, I have to use more force in the middle range. There are several notes on this condition. I wish Yamaha could be more serious when building musical instruments. Here in my country, it’s expensive. I fear opening my melodica and mess with other important things, like isolating rubbers ( which would call likeslikeage. I can’t send back for do little problem, but it’s very annoying, and I can’t play fast music on it.
    Any help is welcomed.
Thanks. Pardon my English. I’m almost blind too.
