Hi. I am new to this forum (although having had a melodica for 13 years, I should have joined ages ago!). I use a Hammond 44, and am interested in adapting classical repertoire from other instruments to play on melodica. Although I have played several unaccompanied oboe pieces on it, I am now looking at piano pieces with limited range and light textures, and recently did a recording of ‘Tuileries’ from Mussorgsky’s ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’, using a 1938 Austrian simplified piano edition as a starting point. Here it is: Tuileries..
Great project, Phillip. The recording is impressive. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
Very nice Phillip, looking forward to more 🙂
Thank you very much. There are one or two more recent melodica videos on my YouTube channel PSearPianist, and I will certainly add more from time to time.
