    Hi everyone,
Which are the melodicas built with anti-corrosive reeds ?
    (stainless steel, phosphor bronze).
I already know that Suzuki melodions have these.

    Yamaha ? Others ?
It is rarely (never) noticed in specifications.

    Thanks.

    Hi Nogat,

Yamaha claims to have non-corrosive reeds, and this claim is substantiated by my experience with my Yamaha Pianicas. But in my 3 and 1/2 years of experience with melodicas, I see discoloration of reeds in some but no more serious corrosion problems. All of our days are numbered. Whether we’ll outlive our melodicas I don’t know.

But Alan, that’s what this site is for: to make our melodicas survive us! 😉

Thanks Alan about your experience. Yamaha is one of my favorite brand, their guitars and their keyboards are great.
I’ve read with interest the change of color of the P32D, mainly I totally dislike the original blue toyish color.
And not to mention the pink. 😀

Yes, this site is great and very active and we learn a lot of things.
