I know people have talked about this before, but here is a great example (and very simple design) of using magnets to influence reeds and bend notes on a harmonica quite handily (see video below). I hope this video has not already been posted, but if it has, it must have been some time ago as I don’t remember it.

This bending feature would be hugely successful on a blues melodica. As we know, one of our own (Melodica-Me) has invented a melodica with a “bender bar.” However, we do not know the technology he uses. In any case, this is a great feature to have on a melodica. It brings us one step closer to the expressiveness of a harp.
