I just bought this Hohner melodica piano 26 (metal case, “3 screws” version). It seems to be in good condition, but unfortunately it came without the mouthpiece. Although it’s not really necessary for playing the instrument, I guess it’s more comfortable to play with a mouthpiece. Does anyone know where to get a mouthpiece that will fit this model? I found some similar looking ones online, but I can’t find out if these will fit the piano 26.
The mouthpiece you’re seeing is the HMA-25. It is advertised as fitting the Hohner button melodicas HM-900 and 901. I have an HM-600 Student, which is a variant of those models. I just tried switching its mouthpiece with the one on the same Piano 26 you have, and they are interchangeable.
Thank you Alan for trying this out, I already hoped this was the case. I’m glad to know the HMA-25 fits well.
While looking for an European supplier, I found out the particular mouthpiece is sold here as the MZ9909
