Hi, I’ve tried to search forums but couldn’t find anyone with this specific info, but apologies if there was. I just got my dad’s old childhood melodica out of storage and remembered that the faceplate keeps coming off because it’s missing the two screws that hold it down. The shaft for these seems to have a cross pattern rather than a standard circular screw shaft. Is that just because nothing has ever been screwed into it, or because the screws have a cross type design. Either way if anyone has dimensions or pics of what the screws look like that would help me in trying to source them. Help!

Which screw do you mean exactly.
    There are two kinds.
    Soprano

    Schrauben

The short one ist on the front side. The long one is for the holes on top of the plate.

I only have short screws so the long one is most likely the one I need as it has to reach through the front plate into the rest of the melodica.

Raised countersunk wood screws with slot.
    DIN 95 2x20mm

DIN means German Institute for Standardization.
Unfortunately, there is no corresponding ISO standard. Here is a link for further information. DIN 95
