Hi all, I’m looking for a melodica for my son for Christmas.
Does this look like a reasonable buy? It’s Australian dollars, and has some damage..
Thanks in advance
It will probably need some restoration. Because of its age, it might not be airtight, and may be out of tune. It’s worth checking all these things with the seller. Also, ask if every note works, if any keys stick, and whether there’s any odour!
Personally, I’d go for a new model, like the Yamaha P37D
Thank you. Seems I can only get one of those from Japan, and will take too long to get here. Plus exxy!
Can’t seem to get the Yamahas or Suzukis locally. Only the Hohners, which I realise didn’t make the list, but I might have to go with that. This one looks reasonable. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Hohner-AirBoard-37-note-Melodica-INCLUDES-BAG-AND-ACCESSORIES/303069930190?hash=item46906022ce:g:DdAAAOSwM1hbWpwX&frcectupt=true
Yes, that looks good
