Please tell me the difference between the two types, if any, in terms of the sound they produce. Which is a better choice? Thank you.
The Student 26 is a new entry level model (according to advertising) that nobody here has mentioned having played. The most recent version of Hohner Piano 26 went out of production a few years ago. It has a lovely but more muted sound than most other melodicas. Whether someone likes that sound is a matter of personal preference. I think it’s a bit more challenging to play than most other recent melodicas. If you like a clear, bright sound, the Piano 26 might not be a good choice. If you haven’t already bought something, you might also consider the excellent Yamaha P-25F Pianica. You can check out Reviews here to see what other people think about various models.
