Melodica-Me
ParticipantSo here is the new ATA case for my most used Hohner Melodicas. Much easier to carry and access each melodica.

For one melodica this would be pretty much overkill, but if you have to lug around a bunch of melodicas this is the way to go. Leave the milk crates to the DJs, I mean who wants to show up to the gig or walk into the studio with a milk crate full of melodicas.
Been there and shamefully have done that, LOL

ParticipantNice. Is there a compartment that’s not visible for hoses/mouthpieces?
Did you have that custom made or did you modify an off-the-rack one?

ParticipantBinyomin, there is enough space for the mouth piece to the side of the melodica, I don’t use tubes. My wife made a few little cloth bags for the mouth pieces and they fit nicely. I purchased these cases new from the maker (Anvil) and modified them myself. I purchased a total of (5) cases that I will be modifying when time permits for my Bass Melodicas, Claviettas, Eolina. Much safer case.

ParticipantTwo wonderful set-ups that do justice to these top flight melodicas.

ParticipantYou guys are well organized. I also have what I think is a pretty good transportation solution for live performances and will try to get a photo out soon to show you. Lowboy

ParticipantHere is another perspective showing the front compartment and space above the keyboard harmonicas to store stuff.

ParticipantFor some reason, my photos of my keyboard harmonica case and ghost playing a melodica seem to have gone away. I will try to re-post them tomorrow. My wife seems to be using all of the wireless bandwidth watching TV. Lowboy

ParticipantNice practical setup Lowboy, plus it holds (9) melodica wow! I use a folding cart to drag everything around, amp, pedal boards and cases. Folds up and hides easily.

ParticipantI’m thinking about the questions you must get when you take that thing through airport security. Let us know how it goes with Customs when you arrive at the airport on your next trip to Mexico.
