When you ‘bounce’, you merge all the tracks into one file, like an mp3, that can be played as one stereo file.
You can still record melodica first, and make an ‘eleastic’ midi click track which fits with the rubato of the melodica playing. Then use that click track to record the piano part afterwards.

Elsewhere, I bought a midi cable this week. Will try condenser and reverb using NCH Mixpad. Looks easier than in Studio One. Hopefully will suffice since my needs are simple. My education continues! ?
