Thanks to all for your patience and help! I’ve messaged the Amazon vendor, waiting on reply, and messaged the person at Yamaha who handles this stuff to see if this is indeed covered by warranty. (FYI his name is John Carlson, and he’s at this email: jcarlson@yamaha.com And you need to provide a US phone number and your pianica’s serial number) Failing that, I’ll be buying from the Yamaha site, as David I Am did.
