I have a Japanese black M37C, and it has a crinkle-paint metal case. I wonder if there’s a database of melodica models here somewhere?
Also I tried an image search for it, and most of the websites were Asian. Maybe it’s a Suzuki made in China? (I couldn’t find a picture of the rear of one.)
